The main component of this preparation is Human Rabies Immunoglobulin, which is prepared by cold ethanol fractionation of human plasma from donors immunized against rabies. Donations are selected on the basis that they contain high titers of antibodies against rabies virus. The manufacturing process for Human rabies immunoglobulin contains a low pH incubation step for viral inactivation. It contains a proper amount of glycine as stabilizer, but does not contain any antiseptic and antibiotic.

[Indications]
Human Rabies Immunoglobulin is mainly indicated for passive immunization in persons with bite wounds or scratch injuries caused by a rabid dog or other rabid animals. Any person with suspected rabies exposure shall use rabies vaccine and human rabies immunoglobulin in combination. If the patient has been vaccinated against rabies and has sufficient titers of Anti-Rabies Antibodies, he/she shall be revaccinated against rabies instead of using this product.Related Products List
