    Product Description

Collagenase is a powerful enzyme that plays a crucial role in the breakdown of collagen, a key component of connective tissue in the body. In recent years, collagenase has gained popularity as a treatment option for various medical conditions, particularly in the field of dermatology and plastic surgery. Collagenase is commonly used in the form of an injectable solution, which can be administered directly into the affected area to break down excess collagen and promote tissue remodeling.

Collagenase is a type of enzyme that specifically targets collagen, a fibrous protein that provides structure and support to various tissues in the body. Collagen is found in abundance in the skin, tendons, ligaments, cartilage, and bones, and plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and strength of these tissues.

Collagenase works by breaking down the peptide bonds that hold collagen molecules together, resulting in the degradation of collagen fibers and the release of individual collagen molecules. This process, known as collagenolysis, allows for the remodeling and restructuring of connective tissues, leading to improved tissue flexibility, mobility, and function.

One of the most common medical applications of collagenase is in the treatment of Dupuytren's contracture, a condition characterized by the thickening and tightening of the connective tissue in the palm of the hand. Collagenase injections are administered directly into the affected tissue, where they target and break down the excess collagen fibers, allowing for the gradual release and straightening of the contracted finger(s).

Collagenase injections have also been used in the treatment of other conditions,  Used for Lumbar Disc Herniation that does not respond to conservative treatment:

Dissolve the contents with 2 ml Sodium Chloride Injection, and then inject 1200 units of collagenase into Intervertebral Disc or extradural space of Intervertebral Foramen.

    Procedure:

Patient is placed in the lateral decubitus. Under the X-ray fluoroscopy, along the Lumbar vertebrae transverse process, the needle is entered from the side of the vertebrae into intervertebral foramen of the L4-L5 or L5-S1. Then 1200 units of collagenase is injected into intervertebral foramen extradural space or into intervertebral disc.

In dermatology, collagenase injections are commonly used for the treatment of scars, keloids, and hypertrophic scars, as well as for facial rejuvenation and contouring.

The use of Collagenase for Injection is generally considered safe and well-tolerated, with minimal side effects. However, like any medical treatment, collagenase Injection therapy may be associated with certain risks and complications, such as allergic reactions, skin irritation, and tissue damage. It is important to consult with a qualified healthcare provider before undergoing collagenase injections to discuss the potential benefits and risks of treatment.

In recent years, there has been growing interest in the development of novel collagenase formulations and delivery methods, as well as in the exploration of new medical applications for collagenase therapy. Ongoing research and clinical trials are aimed at further elucidating the mechanisms of action of collagenase, optimizing treatment protocols, and expanding the therapeutic potential of collagenase for a wide range of medical conditions.

Overall, collagenase for injection represents a promising and innovative treatment option for various medical conditions, particularly those involving excessive collagen production or accumulation. With its ability to target and break down collagen fibers, collagenase therapy offers a non-invasive and effective approach to tissue remodeling and repair, with the potential to improve patient outcomes and quality of life.
